On December 5, 2025, Joy~Nostalg Group Executive Officer Mr. Jacinto C. Ng, Jr. received one of the most meaningful recognitions of his career. His alma mater, Xavier School, honored him with the Xavier-Kuangchi Award for Exemplary Alumni, a distinction given to graduates who have been champions of sustainable development through inspirational leadership and transformational work in caring for the environment and the poor.
Mr. Ng was one of four honorees recognized at the ceremony held at Xavier School. The award placed him alongside fellow alumni whose careers have been defined by service, impact, and a commitment to uplifting communities that need it most.

The Xavier-Kuangchi Award for Exemplary Alumni is not given for professional achievement alone. It honors graduates who have translated the values of their Jesuit formation into lives of genuine service. It recognizes those who have taken the Xavier School ideals of excellence, faith, and service to others and carried them far beyond the classroom, into communities, into policy, and into the daily lives of people who might otherwise be left behind.
For Mr. Ng, the recognition is a reflection of a mission he has built his life around: to home the homeless, power the powerless, and love the loveleast.
Xavier School cited Mr. Ng's leadership of Pasinaya Homes as the heart of his recognition. Through Pasinaya Homes, and in close collaboration with Joy~Nostalg Foundation, he has built sustainable, resilient, and inclusive communities for over 65,000 beneficiaries across Luzon.
What distinguishes Pasinaya Homes from a conventional housing program is its scope of intention. The work was never limited to constructing affordable houses. It was about building entire communities, with financial literacy programs, values formation, family strengthening initiatives, and grassroots leadership development woven into every project. Each community was designed to give Filipino families not just a roof, but a foundation for a better life.
This commitment to wholeness, to seeing housing as a human issue rather than a construction issue, is what has made Pasinaya Homes one of Pag-IBIG Fund's top developers nationwide and one of the most recognized socialized housing models in the country.

Mr. Ng graduated from Xavier School in 1986. The Jesuit education and Ignatian spirituality he received there continue to shape his leadership and the culture of Joy~Nostalg to this day. The organization's CHRISTUDE Values, its mission, and its commitment to being a spiritually centered, socially missioned enterprise all reflect the principles he first encountered during those years of formation.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Ng acknowledged the deep connection between his Xaverian formation and the work he has built. He spoke of being called to shine his light and to be a man for others, words that had been with him since his school years and that eventually became the foundation of everything Joy~Nostalg stands for.
The Xavier-Kuangchi Award, in this sense, is a recognition that stretches across decades. It honors not just what Mr. Ng has accomplished, but the values that made those accomplishments possible.

The Xavier-Kuangchi Award joins a growing list of recognitions that reflect the reach and integrity of Mr. Ng's work. In 2024, he was named EY Philippine Entrepreneur of the Year. He has since represented the Philippines at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year awards in Monaco. He has also been recognized as a Meaningful Business 100 honoree in London, making him the first Chinese-Filipino to receive that global distinction.
Regionally, Joy~Nostalg has received the Social Empowerment and Green Leadership Awards at the Bangkok Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards, and the ESG Integration Excellence and Sustainable Renewable Energy Initiative Awards at the Asian Power Awards in Kuala Lumpur. Joy~Nostalg has also been recognized for contributing to 13 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Each of these recognitions points to the same truth: that a business built on mission, on genuine care for people, and on faith-centered values can achieve not only meaningful impact but also global credibility.
For the Joy~Nostalg family, this award is both an honor and a reminder. It affirms that the direction of the organization is right. It affirms that the work of homing the homeless, powering the powerless, and loving the loveleast is work that the world notices, values, and needs more of.
Congratulations, Mr. Ng. This recognition belongs to every family that found a home, every community that was built with care, and every member of the Joy~Nostalg family who has carried this mission forward, day by day.
Luceat Lux et Ferveat Amor. Shine our Light. Radiate our Love.
